General & Platform Overview
Caspy is a mobile-first social media platform designed specifically for musicians, producers, and music lovers. It offers a vertical video feed focused on "capsules" — short video clips showcasing the standout hook or best moment of a song.
A capsule is a short, user-uploaded video (up to 45 seconds) highlighting the best part of an original song or music project. Instead of full tracks, capsules are built to capture immediate attention and spark listener engagement.
Caspy is built for independent artists, producers, songwriters, and music enthusiasts looking to discover fresh sounds, build a dedicated fanbase, and connect with creative collaborators worldwide.
Creating & Sharing Content
Capsule uploads are strictly limited to a maximum of 45 seconds. This keeps content engaging and focused on the track's key hook.
- Tap the + (Create) button in the bottom navigation bar.
- Select or record your video.
- Use the built-in trimmer to select your standout section (up to 45 seconds).
- Choose a cover frame, add tags, genres, and a description.
- Tap Publish. Your capsule will be processed and submitted for review.
To protect artists and keep the community safe, all new capsule uploads undergo a rapid review before appearing in the public feed. Once approved, your capsule becomes visible across the entire platform.
Sparks are quick visual updates and moments shared directly to your profile ring, allowing you to share behind-the-scenes glimpses, studio updates, and spontaneous thoughts with your followers.
Yes! You can archive any of your capsules at any time. Archived capsules are hidden from public feeds and your profile, but all likes, comments, and metrics are safely preserved. You can unarchive or permanently delete them later from Settings → Archived Capsules.
Feed, Discovery & Leaderboard
Caspy’s recommendation engine personalizes your feed based on your favorite music genres, creators you engage with, freshness of the content, and community interactions (likes, ratings, comments, and full watches).
In addition to standard likes and comments, viewers can rate capsules from 1 to 10. This provides constructive, high-intent feedback for artists and helps high-quality tracks climb the discovery rankings.
The Leaderboard is a global creator ranking accessible from the Explore tab. It tracks top-performing musicians across 7-Day, 30-Day, and All-Time windows based on genuine audience engagement and watch quality.
The Leaderboard is split into two independent leagues:
- Rising League: The default competitive league for up-and-coming creators and independent talent.
- Verified Artist League: A dedicated league for verified and established artists.
Creators who place in the top 3 in any leaderboard timeframe receive dynamic rank badges on their profiles that update alongside the ranking cycles.
Caspy AI Labs (Lyrics & Visuals)
AI Labs is a creative suite within Caspy designed to assist musicians in writing lyrics, generating creative storyboards, and producing stylized short lyric videos and music clips.
AI Lyrics helps you craft and refine song lyrics. You can provide a theme or mood, choose a specialized directing/technique pack, and generate hooks or draft verses to inspire your songwriting.
AI Clips allows you to generate short visual lyric clips for your audio tracks. You provide a prompt and an audio segment, and AI Labs generates a beat-aligned storyboard and visual scene frames before rendering the final video.
Yes. Caspy AI Labs uses an Edit Mode by default. You can review, approve, or regenerate individual storyboard scenes, visual frames, and character/style locks before committing to the final video render.
Self Portrait allows creators to generate stylized video clips featuring their own likeness. You may only use images of yourself, and you must complete a formal consent declaration before starting generation. Third-party and unauthorized likenesses are strictly prohibited.
